Ron Hicks was a multi-award-winning medical writer on The Australian before becoming a freelance writer and author. He returned to The Australian in the 1990s where he was a Walkley Award finalist for his investigations into pedophile networks. Today he is a full-time sub-editor and occasional writer on Australia's only national newspaper.
